“Kabuki Clash Tenugui”
Our second original Baba Ramen Tenugui — built around a single character: 麺 (men), meaning noodles.
At the centre of the design, bold calligraphy expresses the core of what we do. Direct, unapologetic, and unmistakably ramen.
Surrounding the character, the composition draws from traditional Japanese motifs and framing styles, reinterpreted through a modern lens. The result is a piece that feels both rooted in history and firmly part of today’s kitchen culture.
Rendered in a classic indigo palette, this tenugui reflects the balance of simplicity and intensity found in ramen itself — minimal at a glance, but layered in detail up close.
Tenugui have been used in Japan for centuries by chefs, craftsmen, and in everyday life — valued for their versatility, durability, and quick-drying nature.
Whether used in the kitchen, worn, or kept as a design piece, this tenugui is a direct expression of ramen culture.
