Showcasing Japanese Artisans

What started as a simple goal — creating the perfect ramen T-shirt — slowly became something much bigger.

Through that journey, I met traditional Japanese artisans and saw the craftsmanship, pride and history behind the things they make.

Today, Baba Shoten collaborates with makers across Japan to create pieces inspired by kitchen culture, craftsmanship and life inside Tokyo ramen shops.

INSIDE THE KITCHEN

After years working in ramen kitchens across Japan, we struggled to find clothing that reflected the culture and craftsmanship we experienced every day.

Baba Shoten was created to bring that world outside the kitchen.

Built Through Craft

This is our Tenugui. These are Handmade by Japanese Artisans that have been doing this since 1840.
