Built in the Kitchen

Baba Ramen began inside a real ramen kitchen in Tokyo.

What started as a fascination with ramen and Japanese kitchen culture slowly evolved into something bigger — a way of sharing the atmosphere, craftsmanship, and world surrounding ramen in Japan.

Founded by Andrew Baba, half Japanese and British-born, the inspiration behind Baba Ramen comes from years spent between the UK and Japan, sitting in small ramen shops with family, learning from chefs, and experiencing the culture surrounding the bowl itself.

After training at a professional ramen school and working inside ramen restaurants in Japan, Baba Ramen grew from cooking classes into a wider creative project inspired by kitchen life, Japanese workwear, ukiyo-e art, and the craftsmanship found throughout ramen culture.

From pencil sketches to finished garments, each piece is designed as an extension of the kitchen that built Baba Ramen from the beginning.

Built in the Kitchen is more than a slogan — it’s where the story started.
